Best bike tagging

I want to tag my bike, but there seem to be several competing systems available, eg immobilise, datatag, alpha dot....

Makes me wonder if the one I choose would happen to be supported by whatever police station ended up finding my bike

Or are all the systems supported by all police forces?

As just posted in the serial number thread I used Datatag Stealth Pro on mine. Even though it's matt black it remain invisible and still requires UV light to see it.

Daatag also uses a tamperproof 'sticker' with a unique code on it. I asked my local police station some time ago and apparently they use UV as standard on all stolen / recovered bikes as it's not uncommon fir people even to simply mark a bike with postcode and house number with a UV pen.

Why not check with your local force, regarding which they use.

On a personal level how about using one for tracking cats/dogs?
