Does The Italian Job count? (the proper one, of course).

I saw a review of Taken 2 on the BBC on a telly screen at Manchester Piccadilly on Friday. The sound was mute, but the subtitles adequately relayed the reviewer's contempt...

Several for me (with my memory, i will doubtless remember better ones later )..
Taken...excellent.
Watched Taken 2 the other night..i enjoyed it, but i didnt have great expectations of plot etc etc. just accept it as a fast moving, car chasing, non stop killing action film...it ticks all the boxes. Not as good as Taken, but it was ok.
Leon...loved that film.
300, excellent.
The Last of the Mohicans.

ooo yes on both counts. Leon (I wish she'd do a follow up) and LOTM are top notch

In fact, if we want to be a little cultural about it I'd opt for Brannagh's Henry IV, its like Die Hard with armour (and longbows) and is no where near the commercially polluted comic that is Braveheart

I am with Arch on the Italian Job - Saw it when it came out at the cinema in 1969.

I dont do much in the way of action films so was rather blown away with the cgi on Avatar. Generally car chases and gun chases are a bit of a bore (as in the opening of the last 20 bond films). A good twist in the story setup helps like there is in Wanted.
