I started riding in December of last year. On my first ride it was -2 celcius and I was cycling a rickety old road bike in the New Forest. I left the house half an hour before sunrise. By the time I got into the forest the sun was just rising, casting an orange glow over the frost covered heathland. The whole place was dead silent, any pools of water and small lakes were frozen over and there were dozens and dozens of ponies, completely still, the only thing moving being the cold air blown through their nostrils. It was beautiful, and it made me fall in love with the possibilities of cycling. So I say, yes, do it!
