I've been refusing to pay top dollar for branded beans since the last century. It's a tin of beans in tomato sauce FFS... you either like them or you don't.

You obviously don't

If you do like them, there is a wide variation in both taste and texture between different brands.

We have run out of Heinz beans and sausage
We always have Heinz for this but Branston for proper beans
the betterness of the Heinz sausages is greater than the betterness of the Branston beans

but now we are going to have to revert to Branston for both

Tesco has fallen out with Mars foods over Whiskas cat food prices too. Fortunately my 'gang' won't touch Whiskas.

Do you know what goes in the sausages? Down here they’re mostly chicken, which are pretty horrible, but recently got a shipment of Aldi pork Bratwurst, much better.

Molly does like Whiskas. The box of 12 sachets has gone up from £3 not that long ago to £4.50 now
