I've developed a bit of a crush on Kirst McCabe (i think it is teh accent that does it).

Anyway, just idly looked up on Wikpedia about her ad found the following:

'McCabe studied geophysics at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with a first class honours degree before going on to spend three months as an intern at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, where she used satellite magnetic data to interpret the underlying crustal structure of parts of Australasia. Further study at the University of Oxford saw her involved in a project to look for evidence of climate change in old volcanic soils on the Greek island of Santorini (Thera). While at Oxford she was elected President of the Jesus College Graduate Common Room. During her time at Oxford she was offered a three-month internship at New Scientist magazine where she went on to work as a sub-editor for four years.[1]'

I thought she was just a bit of eye candy!

Well, I don't know if it's the weather, but all our weather girls are usually at some point in gestation. Except Sian Lloyd, who didn't quite make it as a cheeky girl, probably for good reason.

Laura Tobin (born in Northampton on 10 October 1981), is an English broadcast meteorologist, working for the United Kingdom Met Office, and the BBC, producing BBC Weather reports for BBC Television and BBC Online.[1]
Born and raised in Northampton with her twin brother Mark, she attended Duston Upper School. She left with with A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics and Art, and she then studied Physics and Meteorology at Reading University.

She was a strange thing. I remember reading that when she was kicked off the jungle celebrity programme she apparently said she couldn't wait to get home and wear some nice sexy, frilly lingerie. Some wag wrote that it gave a new dimension to the bushtucker challenge.

Physics isn't a proper subject anyway. She's still brainy and cute though .
