The listener question was two part, with the second part being whether helmets actually make them safer on the roads or not.

There was no Cycling UK representative on it. It might have been far more balanced if there had been.

That's strange, I swear I heard that it had someone from CyclingUK on it. OK, I've just read the description on it, they had Ian Walker from Swansea University on it. They still had someone giving the argument for focusing on other things at least.

Everyone on the show was a helmet user, even if one of them was very sceptical and tried to move the discussion to more useful things. It was very unbalanced.

Anyway... the programme was responding to a listener question regarding which cycling helmet to buy next and are more expensive helmets better than cheaper ones.

It was not a discussion about whether to wear a helmet or not. That is not what Sliced Bread is about.

The question didn't include whether to wear, but did include "whether wearing a helmet makes us safer on the roads or not" (70 seconds in).

not necessarily, according to Sliced Bread... it just said look out for things like MIPS or something like that. I'm not a helmet wearer so wasn't really focusing that closely on those bits.
