I love it. It's trying to make me happy!

As I type it shows a bright round yellow sun for Brighton. Hooray!!!

It's actually pitch black and pissing down outside but at least it made the effort:biggrin:

It's showing 10 degrees for Monday and a big happy sun

BBC weather centre used to be at Bracknell and I worked within a couple of miles. The site could show dry and sunny spells for the local area with a claimed recent observation time, even when it had been raining for a while. One can only assume the observation didn't include looking out the window

You'll have some fab bruises to make it worthwhile - i came off a few weeks ago and the bruises cheered me up enormously.
You're easily pleased

Yesterday, I came to work foolishly believing what I'd been told on the forecast I heard - that at least it was going to be a dry day.

Had to spend 10 minutes drying my bike when I got home. If that was a 'dry' day, hate to see what a 'wet' day would look like!

They need to introduce this picture onto the weather map:

Then I would how many jumpers to put on..

It had sun for here last night, but was in fact rain and quite severe flooding. I check it regularly throughout the day and I think sometimes they are not updating it very fast. Probably best to check the Met Office site, but the BBC interface is much nicer

(and with the Met Office you have to rummage around everytime, unless I missed something and you can bookmark your hometown?).

BBC and the metoffice weather seems to me to be a random weather generator

I think someone has a dartboard with a picture of sun, cloud, snow etc and throws a dart blindfold at it - then says that'll do for Thursdays prediction for Sussex

I always use metcheck - always seems to be more accurate (eg predicted the rain we had yesterday evening that ruined our tennis match - needless to say the BBC had a beaming sun predicted all day)

...and night!
Ah foot in mouth moment . Still thinking after work automatically = night, tho we do get a good 30mins of light now after 5pm. They didn't quite get it that wrong.

Ah nm I geddit - only took in the pissing down bit on first read. Though you was reffering the 'night sun' slip in my reply. The tongue slip was perhaps from reading a similar forecast yesterday and suffering from suggestion!
