I've often wondered about "wireless charging." It's available on phones and so on. How does this work? I can't get my head round the idea that two devices can be in close proximity and one sends "power" to the other.

Weird stuff in my mind.

Induction. Good old physics. But the phones need to have the induction charging circuits for it to work.

Thank you, I was halfway through my own explanation and wondering how deep to go. I saw a " new message " alert and thought " I hope that's someone else answering the question " 🤣🤣

Ah induction, just like those fiendish cookers old people can't switch on. 🤣 I'll stick to wires.

About 8 years ago a friend rented a 10 room house for a week to celebrate her 60th and retirement. She invited friends and family to come and go. We headed up there on the first day. The first few couples arrived, all retired and advancing in years.

Late afternoon the time arrived to start cooking. Eight people in the house. No one could make the cooker work. We had to wait for our host's daughter, under 30, to arrive, dispense withering looks at us all and turn on the cooker.

We might have starved. Work of the devil.

I've been impressed with my 20,000mah INIU power bank. We did 3 days camping, and only used that one power bank to charge 2 large phones and two smart watches over those days. I do like the digital percentage of power left. It is, however, heavy as you'd expect.

Well, write it down boy ......
I found an Anker power bank a couple of years ago on the towpath in the middle of Chester. Lucky me, I thought.
Then I remembered a Deliveroo rider (young lad) has passed me going the opposite way a short while earlier and I thought "it'll be his" so I turned round and an explosive burst of speed got me to catch him up as he was negotiating across the lock gate about half a mile away. It was his and I was glad to return it. My good deed for the day.
