I've been into Avon Valley admittedly not for a service but the staff in there seemed friendly and knowledgeable.

John's are a grumpy lot that look down their noses. I've never had any of them touch my bike, but on friendlyness alone total fitness wins.

not my experience when I went in with a bust spoke on a cheap EBC own-brand touring bike. Maybe they only treat locals with disdain?
