Bates Nostalgia

The recent thread on a Bates Tandem, reminded me I had an old brochure somewhere. I managed to find it!

The brochure contains the specs for all the models at the time, which I guess was from the early to mid 50's. The one I had was the BAR model. The brochure also contains all the theory behind the double curl forks and their tubing.

The cycle shop "Bloors" was my LBS and the owner Sid Bloor ran a typical old fashioned bike shop. Alas the shop and the owner are no more, but great memories.

Just blown the limit on the max no of files, so more to follow

Thanks, very interesting . Never knew Bates had any thinking behind the Diadrent forks apart from being. instantly recognisable........
