Just come back from a test cycle using the Trekking bars and found them amazing. No loss of feeling in outer two fingers as usual (setting aside the cold) and the whole bike just felt a more comfortable machine to ride.

Sorry - been away for a bit since I posted. Just got a new hybrid so not looking for drops or that. Wont be using it for commuting just now but may well do so in the future.

Thinking Ill just buy bar ends - is there any problem or downside to moving everything along the handlebar slightly to accomodate bar ends??

The Doomed, I put Spec P1 Bar Ends on my MTB. I had no problem moving the brakes/shifters and did not encounter any downside in doing this. I removed the existing grips by spraying hairspray (don't tell Mrs Stan) underneath the grips, a great tip I picked up from a MTB forum. I replaced the existing grips with ODI's. Hope this helps
