I like that idea
would be my concern also.I reckon the bananas would bounce out of that cage on the first bit of rough road surface, in order to stop them bouncing out the cage would have to grip the fruit tight which would result in bruised / squashed bananas.
Now try Italian banana's, for a third option.
?Would never have thought of using them for that tbh.
Plantain?Italian bananas are vegetables, not a fruit.
Possibly. But its so the farmers can get the money for growing them.Plantain?
I only like bananas if they're covered in custard
Classic use of the greengrocer's apostropheNow try Italian banana's, for a third option.
Just saw this on facebook. Not looking deeper myself, as bananas are the devil's fruit

(OK, it's 3D printer file http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:678170)
@francfalco - kudos, good design. Can you now work on fixing bananas, so I can eat them again? It's the taste and the texture. Curved plantains would probably work for me. I had my last banana when I was 7 or so.
Sadly, I don't think there are many 3d printers in our midst, but I have used your design as an example to explain to people what I think 3D printing will be in our future. Building parts to match exactly what you need, at home.
