Baked beans, how do you spice yours up?

How much curry powder to a can of beans?

If a normal size tin then a good teaspoon. I then add chilli powder depending on the heat of the curry powder. Fry the onions gentle for about 5 mins. Stir in the spices and fry for about a min. Add the beans on low for a good 5 mins so it goes gloopy.

Not tried it, but expect a dollop of marmite would work wonders with a tin of beans.

Tabasco sauce and coarsely ground pepper.
Also invariably have them served on a slice of cheese on toast.

The combination is a lot more delicious than you might reasonably expect

Used to be by a mix of home made Scotch Bonnet and Habanero powder.

Quite easy to put too much in though

Grate cheese on top and some black pepper

And a half teaspoon of Bovril mixed in while heating them up.
