My panniers are great, but if I'm just going for a ride - rather than shopping - it'll be handy to have something smaller.

You won't be disappointed.

In fact, if it's the same one I got, you'd probably get a daily shop in it. The side pockets expand into mini panniers. Very clever.

I've just bought the large version from Evans.

My existing bag from Edinburgh Bicycles has given good service, but it's become rather floppy.

Over the last few months I've looked at various bags, including dear ones from the likes of Ortlieb and Carradice, but none caught my eye.

The Vaude looks decent for £35, not rigid, but should keep its shape.

No mini-panniers on mine, expansion is via bellows in the lid.
