I was out for a short ride today. The path I was on took me past a tree with low branches. I ducked and my head just cleared the branch. I was brought to a stop by my backpack however and almost flung off my bike. These dangerous things should be banned by the government and those wearing them should be shot in sight regardless of whether they carry a hydration pack, inner tubes, P.R.K, tyre levers, multi tool, first aid kit, long sleeve top and a mini survival kit.

Well just about everything else cyclists wear has been attacked so why not?????

Go on tell the full story; you are alive only because you were wearing a helmet [chucks a grenade and runs] ;)

The main issue I have with my son's ruck sac is that I pack it in the morning - it's fine... he packs it on the way back from school then it's lumpy and full to overflowing and gets in my view when looking behind  - not had it catch on anything yet.

(Before you say anything ... it started when he was little that he cycled and I carried his stuff ... and being a nice mummy I've yet to make him carry it - apart from the 5 days a year when he doesn't cycle and then it hasn't got a heavy D lock in) - it's one of the bonus's for him of cycling to school).

As long as I breathe, I attack.
No it was a killer tree.

Must have made a mistake as they usually only attack motorists!

I nearly dragged #1 down the road by his backpack the other day!
He has one he uses when camping with Cadets, it's huge & has straps that go round his waist, dropped him off last week, he got it out the boot & slung it over one shoulder, he then got some bits off the backseat. He said goodbye and shut the rear passenger side door - My car has sliding doors...As i drove off I heard him yelling...The long waist strap was caught in the door Oooopsie!!
