I agree with the advice over tyres and wheels - in the distant future!!

I'm a bit on the short side. I moved the seat forward as seen there as it made riding on the hoods just the right reach when I am more upright. I've since put the saddle up an inch or so and it feels about perfect for any riding I am doing, be it nipping off to work or going down a big hill in the drops at warp factor 9
