Guys it’s kinda off topic but relevant.

I had some astronomy stuff delivered via UPS, their website is awful for starters, the delivery address was confirmed and I checked it and correct, all they gave the driver was my town and GB.

Once I got through and said don’t deliver it the next day as no one is home they did it anyway, but left the package on my doorstep and damaged.

So I would avoid using this company if you can for bikes etc they have been useless from start to finish.

Having used plenty of courier companies for my work business. I can quite categorically say that out of all of them, UPS by far are the worse.

My pals wife works for UPS in the states, retires at 50 with a full pension, sounds like a good firm to work for out there, must admit never had a problem with them here, not as fast as DHL though.

Worse than yodel. I activity avoid them.
I also had occasion to pick a parcel up from an APC depot. There was a van unloading in the yard, one guy was stood in the back throwing an the parcels out onto the concrete floor and others picking them up and taking them out back. One parcel looked to have been a large flat screen TV. From the van they were being slung from about 5 foot up.
I suspect this happens a lot considering the sort of wages these firms pay.

If your using My Hermes for a bigger parcel make sure you book it as "Large and light". I had 2 different drivers turn up in a car to collect a box that i'd told them was 90x70x70cm. It was supposed to be collected yesterday in a van.......... its still here!

Isn't that strange UPS is my firm to go to if I want it done right, on time without hassle, I rarely use them due to the high cost, but if it's expensive/fragile it goes with them.

As above,

UPS seem to be the best and most courteous in our area, followed by Hermes.

It might be something to do with getting to know the couriers as we live in a sparsely populated area, big cites I'd expect to be different.

I had a run in with a UPS van that pulled out in front of me. After much gesturing by me he wound down the window and told me to "**ss off". Hence I will never use them.

So they once again sent the guy in the car to collect!!
I've requested a refund and re booked with Parcel Force, i know the local driver so hopefully she'll get it right!
