Looks like quite hilly rides to be honest. It makes me appreciate how fit I am though as I average about 17mph in general on any ride and I seem to get hung up about that. Like someone else said as long as you enjoy it, it doesn't matter!

I was thinking about that - if you modified the freewheel to work in reverse then you could *only pedal backwards. In fact I wonder if it's possible to mount the chainwheel on the left and simply flip over the rear wheel? :biggrin:

I'd always say, however fit (or unfit) you feel you are...you're fitter than 90% of the people around you and at work.
I'd describe myself as average fitness when you take this forum as a whole. Sometimes i feel a little lacking when i see the speeds given here....but i satisfy myself that i'm probably the fittest guy at work, fitter than all of my direct family (kids included) and fitter than all of the people in my street.

If you're fitter than most people you know, you're on a winner.

Now, if i could do something about my back (its as weak as hell)....i'd be perfect :biggrin:
