The autopause on my tracker has settings for minimum speed and seconds. I think that means if the speed falls below that for that long then it pauses and if it raises above that for that long then it resumes. What do you have yours set to?

Zero on my Garmin 800. I keep meaning to turn the setting off because when on the mountain bike on Cannock, it keeps losing lock in amongst the trees and assumes I've stopped. Beeps like an out of work Space Invaders!

Only a wuss stops.
You're braver than me pulling out onto the A10 then!

I've set the autopause on my Edge 200 to 5mph because when I stop at the supermarket on the way home and put the nav in my pocket, at 3mph it records my perambulations about the shopping aisles and screws up my average speed.

Definitely "Off" for me.

I normally just go out and ride. Any stops are for essential purposes and so are an integral part of the ride. Whatever else is recorded, I'd always like to know what my doorstep to doorstep average speed was. Strava makes it's own calculation of actual riding time so I get both net and gross figures in the end anyway, but I wouldn't if I let the Garmin pause itself while I'm - paused.
