B S A Wayfarer (Retired Major, Indian Army) who in the 1920's wrote wonderfully descriptive cycling guide books of the counties of southern England, which he traveled on his trusty steel steed with the caradice saddle bag for his spare tweeds.

Rudge Phillips, the famous rugby player, a regular guest on a question of sport, has his ghost writer produce a Christmas book each year with lots of pictures of him with his top off. Makes enough from the book each year to pay for the timeshare in Florida
