Final average was actually 21mph according to club website. I'm planning another swipe at it in a couple of weeks. Will report back. Legs are fairly painful today though. Must be age!
Sorry, but at 43 this year I've accepted the fact that the Olympic selection committee isn't going to come knocking at my door. But on the upside if I keep training and riding hard I reckon I'll be able to take on Lance by the time I'm 50. Unless of course he still has access to better pills than me.
Well I am 43, and was cycing home Wednsday, beautiful weather doing blistering 23 mph on the flat, I was over taken by a guy on a TT bike, who was definately older than me, I latched onto his back wheel at 27 mph !
so there's still room for my own improvement !
At 60 am still doing personal best's, only started road biking about a year ago, and have watched my average go up to 16.4 mph over a 40 mile route, and i think there is more to come, have ridden mtb's for quite a few years before i started on the road, am enjoying myself more now than ever before, have got family and freinds involved as well.
