Assos shorts..........are they worth the money??

Easy solution here - ride faster, thereby spending less time in the saddle, and moving the pain from your bum to your legs/heart :-)

Just out of interest which saddle did he suggest? I ended up with a Prologo evo 40.

Of course they are! As with most things you get what you pay for. I suppose you could economise by washing them and re-using them for more than one ride but some of us prefer the feel of fresh new ones for each ride.
