In what way do you think they are being untruthful?

Is 'lifetime flat repair' a thing in the US? It's not something we have over here, as far as I'm aware.
Just talked to another store. Same bike shop with multiple locations. They have not only a Verv 3 Disc in blue...but also an FX 4 Carbon in medium. The guy at the other store told me they had neither in stock. Only bike available, in what I am looking, was their silver Verv 3. After he checked "stock".

I wonder how that works. If you’re miles from home does this character descend from the sky?
You bring the bike in. It's not roadside service. But they replace the tube and tires for free.

Depending on how much that part of the package costs it might be worth you planning to do your own puncture repairs. Even if you're not going to do it at the side of the road it'll save you the bother of taking the bike to the shop.

I don't expect they'll change the tyres every time, just the tube.

I think he means the tyres will be removed and refitted Anne. As you say maybe an expensive package as punctures almost never happen at home but usually miles away so best to sharpen your puncture mending skills as you'll need to do that anyway.

I am sure you are right. Cost was $50. Service contract for 3 years was $229. Drivetrain was included.

I was thinking along similar lines... Unless the deal includes new tyres & tubes, it's probably far better (and cheaper) in the long run to just learn the basics and keep a few spares and a puncture repair kit in the house.

Besides, there's an element of whimsical fun sticking a tube in a bucket of water and looking for the bubbles...

Well...here is the choice except I swapped colors. Trek Verv 3. I had picked this one but then found a Blue one. They are building it for me. Should have it in a week. All of the great advice helped me decide. Thank you all! I hope to ride enough to where I fall in love with it again. Then down the road...upgrade or get a more aggressive 2nd bike. Look out Central Florida! Tubby on a Trek is on a mission!!! 😂🤣

After another round of Covid....I finally got it home. It needs adjustment though. The rear brake is non-existant. Front grabs well. I am all over the place onthe gears. Still wish maybe I had the 1x11.

Great that you finally got your new bike, but if you've bought it new from a shop then the brakes should be working. Get them to sort it out.
