Arran String Road video 53mph

i did a figure of 8 loop around Arran the other week , ended up riding UP the string road twice ( the way u came down ) . i can tell u i wasnt nearly as fast going up now i know why . its quite a climb . the surface on the downhill coming from Lochranza to Brodick is really bad , apart from that a great days cycling

Cant see the video but i assume you are heading towards blackwaterfoot, i went down the other side towards brodick at 60mph, the next time i used my brakes and limited myself to 45mph, the thought of falling off at 60 was a bit scary

I wouldn't ride at that speed unless I was wearing a suit of armour, the thought of a dog/sheep hazard just walking out, ouch !.
