Yello, I'm not going to bite at that devil's advocate nonsense....

I agree with you.

The story IS inspirational. He did beat cancer. He did win the Tour alot. There is, to my mind, an awful lot of sh1te between those achievements though. Enough for them to really stick in my throat.

As I recall I'm pretty sure he had some kind of dispensation for having EPO in his system in 99 due to the type of cancer? Regardless, I'm the sort who feels he would have used this dispensation to his advantage.

You know what, I'm a little tipsy right now and am not capable of going through all the many reasons I can't stand him and the discredit he's brought directly and indirectly on to the sport I love. All i shall say is I'm glad he's finally left it and I hope he doesn't hang around it like a bad smell.

i expect LAs lawyers will be looking at the legality of this attempt by fda given the chain of custody violations-remainging samples opened, some samples missing

We knew the sample request was going to come, it was first mentioned when Bordry was still chief at AFLD.

I'm sure there's nothing to prevent anyone re-testing those samples, as they probably are the property of AFLD anyway. What's done with the results is a completely different matter! With that, yes, I suspect it's a lawyer's hog heaven! But, theorectically, I guess that Novitzky could simply talk to Armstrong about any interesting results.

I wonder who's actually doing the testing? USADA? A private lab?

Will Armstrong 'beat' the rap? Or simply 'get lucky'?

I see Armstrong has an unbadged trek now..it looks like he's had the trek logos blacked out. Maybe the Landis stuff has taken its toll on his sponsor relations

Looking through the photos he's been riding that trek since last December.

Times must be tough if he's having to take his own saddlebag!
