Doing 100 miles is hard enough on a road bike, let alone a heavy slow bike. If anyone really wants to, I'm not going to stop them but I wouldn't fancy it personally!

The 100 that gave me the biggest buzz was the one off road and in the rain.

Yay! Took the bike back to Leisure Wheels and a no quibble fix. New thru-bolt. Not as bad as Evans made it out to be, in fact the mechanic at LW said they had forced the bolt in anyway! Gave me some advice about thou-bolts that I didn't know-such as slightly undoing the small screw when refitting as it helps with alignment!

I was just going to post 'why is a new frame needed for a stripped rear thru axle/' as the threaded insert on the RH side of the bike is simply bolted in place.

Bit different on the front with carbon forks as the are bonded in. At least I think they all are.

I forgot all I learned about Evans and trusted what they said...:rolleyes:
