BOAB, next time your son is passing he can have a go on it. It's fantastically loud which always goes down well with my nephews and nieces.

I hasten to add that the grand piano cost less than my bike and less than my mother-in-law's upright. They're not all expensive, it's 70 years old. And it's a baby at 4'6 too...

My parents had a diabetic dog, was being injected daily for several years.
Had to keep something sugar laden to hand as well for the few occasions it started getting a bit wobbly (whatever the proper term for it is), so there was usually a few small bits of mars bar (vets recommendation) in the fridge. Dog would sometimes get a bit 'wobbly' so be given said mars bar and make a quick recovery. A suspiciously quick recovery on some occasions. Made you think was that for real? Or did it just fancy a bit of chocolate?
Er, chocolate is poisonous to dogs- you'd think that their vet would know that !

Is that taken in the Solent? The background looks like Calshot Spit.

Dogs brave..nope stoopid....... try taking something out of a cat...the owner is on a death wish........

TBH cat's rule............

So wrong, on so many levels:biggrin:

Cats' often perceived "superiority" is simply because they are not as intelligent as good old "man's best friend"...the dog! Fact:thumbsup:

Guide dog, sniffer dog, sheepdog, rescue dog........

......Taking something out of a cat = death wish, i.e. the feline is so thick it doesn't realise that the human is trying to help it:evil:

BTW I'm very much a dog person...just in case you hadn't noticed:biggrin:

I know that now, but this was some 20 years ago and I can't remember there being any publicity about it then. Sure the vet would have mentioned it - he saw the dog often enough.
The mutt got hold of a xmas selection box and scoffed most of it, followed by all the water it could get at. We came back to find it laying with its head in the water dispenser (bigger version of the thing budgies have - must have held 5ltrs) needing more. Took it in relays round the park to try and help it burn the sugar off and regarded ourselves very lucky it lived through the ordeal, taking its diabetes into account.

nice ship...erm boat.

When my mother died I had the choice of a 2nd hand mini-Grand (15 years old plus) or a new (six months old) upright Yamaha. I went for the latter and glad I did. The mini-Grand now dominates my brother's dining room and doesn't sound half as good.
