Are Specialized tubes and tyres rubbish?

Are spesh tubes rubbish? In my experience, yes. I bought a box of five and every single one of them leaked or split at the valve...

Funny you should mention this. This is exactly what happened to me today. It was a Spesh inner. The tyre was fine - Spesh All Condition Pro. Could be that the inner was crap or possible burring of the hole that the valve passes through that caused it.

The tubes are!

Just had double compression flats while hitting a pothole descending, both tubes were destroyed. I had 2 new tubes with me, a Michelin and a long valve specialized. The michelin was fine but the specialized had a split at the valve, I tried to repar it but another appeared. I had to fill the tyre with grass to get me 20kms home. Never again with any of there stuff
