They are quite tight, but then they are tight shorts so Im Not sure what's too tight.

My mileage has gone up a bit, but not drastically, I know I could benefit from a proper bike fit, but I just don't have the funds right now.

I might try the decathlon ones, and I'll try my lidl tights tomorrow too and see how they fare.

So what does it matter if things are numb below whilst riding? Your not going to use it so its not a problem.
As long as all feeling comes back when you debrief then all is fine.
I get numb after a long ride especially if its cold.

Whoa - should not be getting problems on short runs.
Having recently taking upp cycling again, years ago I used not ppadded shorts, and had old fashioned leather saddle. Now I have both and am pleasantly surprised at the absence of numb nuts on up to 36 mile runs

I would be adjusting the saddle before chucking away a perfectly good pair of shorts. If you do chuck them away, can I have them?

BTW your 34 waist trousers are probably actually 36 or more - it's called vanity sizing and all the high street stores do it. Sorry.

I don't buy my trousers in the high street, so not too worried about that :becool:

I'm not going to throw them, Im far too tight for that, but I may sell the for a reasonable price. I've only worn them two or three times. I've just ordered some more DHB aeron race shorts but in a size large, so I'll see what effect they have. Lidls have no stock left round here.

It might be nothing to do with the shorts, it could be a symptom from my back surgery, I did used to get numbness down there before and after the surgery.

Strangely, I just bought my first pair of shorts, an similar build as posted, and bought Medium too. Tried Large on in the shop too, but they felt loose around the legs and the Medium felt better on. I also get numb bits whilst riding the same journey as without padded shorts. I did raise the seat up quite a bit, so assumed it was that, but sounds like there could be more to this...again, no pics though.

Bought the size large in the aeron race and no more numb plums. Although I only did about 23 miles with them.
The legs are a little looser but after a while once my legs warm up they are fine.

The lidl medium tights are also fine, so I think Lidls mediums are more like large.
