Aren't you a settler?

I came here to work at a real job so do not regard myself as such.
Society has changed here radically in the last 20 years and the kind of people we have now are different in origin and attitude. The local “characters” we had in the past have now gone to be replaced with a totally different type who are not interested in the town but only in how much money they can make out of the touroid and try to take over every local organisation but have no interest in anything for local entertainment unless it entertains the touroid.
About the time we came here Mull was known as “ the officers mess” due to the relatively large number of retired service personnel.
That is no longer the case.

Around where I live there are numerous variations of MUL or TOB. This is a relatively new thing and it is pretty well guaranteed that the vehicle belongs to a settler trying I presume to blend in and identify as "local" but really are just pretentious prats.
Too many to list.

Quite a lot on **8UTE as well.
Local to me it is a bit harder but they still try, with various combo's of L***RGS, some better than others.

Sorry no photograph, I saw a (red) Porch Boxster yesterday, with a TVR ... registration

Either his name's Trevor, or it's wishful thinking!

FAB 1 used to be in The Cars Of The Stars museum in Keswick (Cumbria), before the owner closed the museum/sold off the collection
It's huge!!!, based on a Bedford 'Chinese 6' coach chassis (ie; 2 steering axles, one rear axle)

The same chap also owned the Mad MAx Police Interceptor. as in the 'hero car' from the film, not just a mock-up for distance work/stunts
And... a genuine Warner Brothers Dodge Charger, as in a 'General Lee'

As seen a few years ago on the M6 near Lancaster.

One of my friends would probably like that for her RR Sport (1st shape)
She & hubby have '69 ..' & '.. 69', I can't remember which is on the RR

I believe those numerals refer to either;
1. their year of birth
2. The Sisters Of Mercy cover of (The Rolling Stones??) '1969'

I've shown her the Audi featured earlier in this thread, with the G9 OTH plate, & she wants that too

Both are 'old school' goths & have been since I got to know them both, in the mid-80s (as is her sister)
They're quite involved in 'Whitby Goth Weekend' too, organising at least on of the events there
