So today i went out on my regular weekend jolly with my riding partner. Unfortunately for him he was struggling somewhat today which due to the slower pace gave me time to take in all the views of the local area which when training at speed is easy to forget. I may moan when i plan a route it's extremely hard to plan a fast flat route. But just look at some of the scenery from my ride this morning (unfortunately not my photos). Never forget how great our English country side is.

Wow! I usually just get several close-up views of the sides of Audis and white vans.

YOUR English countryside is ok in places, but OUR Scottish countryside is the best . I have gone over to France, Spain, Holland, America, and even England on cycling holidays. It's nice to see different places, but when I come home I sometimes wonder why I bothered going away when we have this on our doorstep (then I remember why I travelled; it doesn't bliddy RAIN so much abroad . But when it's nice, it's VERY nice ):

I agree with this. It's partly why I took up cycling. It's easy to forget what's around you when you spend however many hours staring at the blokes' arse in front of you.
