As the title really - I'm assuming that Shimano have ironed out any bugs now they're onto the 2nd / 3rd generation of Di2, but is it up to consistent Winter use without excessive servicing / cleaning?

Nope...

Some people just come and go when it comes to forums.
yep true, just thought as he had been on here three years with almost 5000 posts he might be sticking about but hey ho not everyone does
i was on another forum that i also abandoned and there was someone on there that everyone knew and had been about since donkeys years and he suddenly left after posting something he regretted
Cheers Ed

I've got 7900 Dura Ace Di2 3 years now and Ultegra 10 speed Di2 nearly 2 years now.

The only problem i had was when i switched 53 chainset down to 50 one winter and didn't adjust the front mech height.

I get over 6 months per charge on the battery and disconnect it after every ride

Unless somebody on here knows him in 'real life' then we don't know if he is ok. There are a few people who have gone quiet in worrying circumstances and we don't know what happened to them.

If I had popped my clogs when I got ill then I doubt that you would have heard what happened to me, unless fellow Hebden Bridge resident and CC member tubbycyclist had read about it in the local paper. (Since then, I have told my sister to log on as me and post a goodbye message if anything happens in the future!)

Tell her to pm me when you kark it and I'll write you an obit.
I think I will scribble a few notes and get her to post them.

I also have in mind CycleChat's first posthumous forum ride! I'd get my sister to turn up at the start/finish with a car load of coffee and cake and you could all tell her how much you would miss my posts about blood clotting!
