After spending about 1/2 an hour trying to pump up my tyres with a mini pump i've decided it's time to stop being such a pikey and buy my own 'proper' pump.

I don't want to spend loads and loads so any suggestions?

Frame pump (fits on the bike), or track (floor-standing) pump?

Topeak Road Morph is the usual recommendation for a frame pump.

I've been having problems with the frame pump. Since I only tend to use it at home I've decided to buy a track pump.

So any recommendations?

Evans have a bontranger one for £19.99 and a Joe Blow for £32.99

Should i be wary of the bontranger one with is being so much cheaper than the rest?

Cheap: Specialized Air Tool Road (for Presta valve only) £10, and excellent
Money no object: Topeak Road Morph G - £27 ish, but v. reliable & does presta and schrader (car type).

I have a track pump in my garage, and when out and about I have a small topeak pump with smart head, it works equally well on my MTB and Road bike.
Cost me about £12 from Halfords

I have used the bontrager floor pumps and they seem to work very well

Don't worry about cheaper track pumps as long as they can easily deal with both valve types without fiddling and they have a pressure gauge. I've had two in service for yonks, one was a halfords which after 5 years is starting to leak at one end of the hose and the other a decathlon job for £3 from a car boot sale still going strong. Both were/are probably <£25.
