Back to the OP, so they wouldn't sell you the jacket a price you couldn't buy it at? Shocking :rolleyes:Oops :blush:sorry OP, that was yello's comment I was referring to.

Not sure I understand that but I'll try to clarify. They offered to order something for me (not a jacket) that they knew I could get cheaper elsewhere. That's what'd you expect isn't it? Perhaps as you might also expect, I declined their offer.

well, i rang them, i got £20 off for cheek but they won't let me use the skyride 15% voucher. so that's a £260 jacket for £200 but i told them i won't pay more than £180. i'm sticking to my guns. i hope it works.

I got my Hope vision 1 price matched to somewhere I found on the internet at Evans.
I also bought my 9 year olds bike there. She got some money from my mum for the bike and she asked for discount as she was paying cash (we only asked as a joke) the assistant immediately took £20 off the price.
No harm in asking.

I used to work in 'high pressure' retail so have some idea how this works.

I get the impression staff there can knock 10% off without asking their manager as I found this weekend, so I'm guessing they can kno!ck a lot more off depending on the mark up and the manager's mood.

If there's no money in it they won't do it. If it's in the shop, go in and say you'll take it there and then if they can do it for that price, oh and maybe you'll pick up a couple accessories at full price while your there. If they won't do it them it's because they can't.
