Thanks for all replies. I have to say, the ones I particularly like are the ones that say ignore it and it'll get bored and leave. Now that's the kind of medical intervention I can really get my head round! I think that might be the way to go, since it's hardly actually bothering me at all.

It was a subject of a BBC radio 4 investigation once which came to the conclusion that most treatments are largely ineffective because it's caused by a virus, which the verruca are merely a symptom of, some treatments can make the end user more comfortable but they don't impact the virus or make it go away quickly.

i have one currently. i started treatment but gave up on it as it's not causing any real discomfort. i think it will clear away itself when my body decides to fight it but it could take a few years.
it was a different matter as a kid when i had them , it was war! got this brown gel stuff (salicylic acid) that would burn the hell out of me and id also try and dig it out 😫
i'm wary about treating warts/verrucas after trying trying to treat a wart on my hand a few years back. it started out small and i went to war on it but i honestly think i made it worse, it got huge and spread. the only thing that helped was doctor freezing with the liquid nitrogen. the doctors told me that all treatment is just trying to get your body to recognise it and kick in the immune system that will get rid of the virus, that's what kills it in the end.

Bannana skin with a plaster over the top works wonders. Cheaper and nutritious as you get to eat the fruit cutting a bit of skin off.

Had them at school; result of swimming lessons and they fairly went through the whole class.
As luck would have it, one of my aunts was a chiropodist so was free treatment. :okay:
It was worse having to be off swimming - !
