Yellow winter gloves same as the decathlon 500 series but £6 and long sleeved merino base layer £17, generously sized
Might go and look at that. The last one I bought a few years ago and the length of the body and sleeves was too short. I am 6ft 2" and have long arms.

If you have to ask ...
well yes - communication - your lack of probably accounts for you having one and a half thousand posts since march.
no matter - was only a question - no enlightenment from you.

I got one of the long sleeved merino base layers and tested it on my cold ride this morning, it was lovely and warm. They didn’t have many in stock though and not all sizes, also got some muc off and the cleaning brushes just need to actually clean my bike now!

Are the neoprene gloves any good? Saw them, but thought “that looks sweaty..."
I've been waiting 2 years for these to be back on sale.THE best winter gloves I've ever owned by a Country mile!Tried them all but nothing comes close.Sealskinz,Altura Summit,Endura Strike, all three, four, five times the price an non work as good as these!
I wish i'd have come across these in my MTB days as I spent a fortune trying to get warm Winter gloves:rolleyes:
I've bought three pairs this time.Love 'em:okay:

They will be VERY sweaty. Neoprene doesn't breathe at all.
I find the opposite!

If you can pop over to Rotherham, Planet-X's crab-hand gloves (https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/PXLGWL/planet-x--waterproof-crab-hand-winter-gloves) are pretty warm. £15.

Went around for a gander. At £13 for the bib tights is OK Not really a whole lot in terms of good padding on it, Its like a really soft foam. Something cheap and cheerful for use on the turbo trainer or maybe short rides

I was most interested in the lights but unfortunately they dont come with the clip to attach the rear blinker onto a bag and such (which is a deal breaker for me) Or maybe they did but i couldnt see it in the packaging.

Didnt get to have a look at the jerseys as they were either out of stock or had not put them out in my branch.

Went for a two hour ride wearing my new jersey this morning.

I didn't fall off, didn't feel too hot or too cold, it held my phone in the back pocket, and if I could have carried out a blind test while riding wouldn't have known the difference between that and my £30+ Altura jersey.

I wish I'd bought two.

In dry weather, neoprene is a bit clammy. warm fabric gloves are far nicer.

But in cold wet weather, I haven't found anything better. Once your hands are wet (and being too cold is the enemy), who cares about sweat?? (I imagine this is how wet suit users see it too.)

I use neoprene fishing gloves - far cheaper than most "cycling" gloves. Fishermen are used to standing in the rain for many hours, far more than many cyclists! Haven't tried the Aldi ones.

Merino inners work well with them in extreme weather (another material that is warm-when-wet).

My local Aldi is closed for refurbishment so whether they will have anything come Thursday is to be found out. Any views on the bag combi as a rucksack, my Lidl one is on its last legs.
