We're thumping the Saffers with our very own South African, KP, doing well.

I suspect it's a minority sport on CC?

Too true Dayvo. This bollix about franchises and 20/20 is a nonsense.

Anyone who played in the same team as Nick Knight must know a thing or two!

I don't mind 20/20, but see it as a hamburger, compared to the three course gourmet meal that is test cricket.

It used to be one of my greatest pleasures: taking a day off work mid-week and heading up to Chelmsford to watch Essex play.
Had contacts so didn't need to pay entry, although had been a member for a few years, but seeing as I played at weekends, never got round to seeing much.
Plenty of sarnies, and positioned near the beer tent or bar, pleasant conversation with those sitting nearby - happy days.
Played cricket in Sweden but there was too much cheating going on for it too be any fun.
I miss cricket (and my old mates) more than anything else!
