Stopping seems the most obvious issue.I courted my wife-to-be on roller skates in the early '80's. Love on sixteen wheels. Skates then had clever things that enabled you to steer just by leaning. I'm not sure that strapping a couple of Brompton wheels to your boots would give you the same level of control, but I'm not a unicyclist.
Indeed! They still have them on most designs, Mrs C and I have got converted ice hockey skates and even they come with brakes.Stopping seems the most obvious issue.
