I am very good at tiebreaker competitions but unfortunately they are now very rare. Most people are evidently thought to be too impatient to sit down, concentrate, and come up with something interesting/funny/thought-provoking/moving...
I am not afraid of competition. If you shop at Aldi, get in quick - the prize in their soon to end Superfan tiebreaker competition is a store card preloaded with £5,000!

I spend £3,000-3,500 a year at Aldi so that prize would come in handy..

My entry is in and is similar in style to my winning entries in other such competitions.

Barnet,
I have entered the ITV TDF prize draw most years, sometime multiple times with no luck.
I didn't expect to win though.
How do you find out who has won?

I really ought to reveal I'm a National Lottery winner - I bought a ticket in 1998 and won £10
One of two winners of the Irish National Lottery(£600,000), the last draw of 1996.
Ticket was a multi draw with another two draws to go. I sent the wrong ticket off, before returning home.

Don't like to say, but I've won a multi-million pound prize.

Have sent my £100 off and just waiting for some paperwork to be finalised and then my prize fund riches are being sent straight from Lagos!

Going back maybe 18 years, my late FIL kept returning the Readers' Digest draw notifications just to see what the outcome would be. He eventually reached the point when 'Tom Champagne' (real name?) sent an audio cassette telling FIL he was on the shortlist. Of course, to go further, he had to take out a Readers' Digest subscription, so FIL called it a day.

Do you mean you won 300,000 or missed the chance?
The total prize money, for all six numbers, was £600,000. If I'd sent the right ticket off I'd have had half.

Snow and cold weather meant claiming it wasn't high on my list of priorities. Seven miles on icy, untreated roads to the nearest post office.
Never had any of it, so lost nothing.

Oh, if only you'd said I could have arranged the triple prize special for you
All you had to do was send me the £1000 in cash. I'd have sorted it with my uncle.
You'd have got s letter to take to a post office authorising them to give you the money and help you carry it home.

Wow, Gwylan, that would have been amazing!

In fact I've told everyone on Cyclechat how thoughtful you are, and we've all decided to chip in a couple of hundred quid each, if you could just message me your account details and password. Big hugs.

Sorry, I misunderstood my uncle's scheme.

You transfer the money to the account. Then 48 hours later you get the multiplier advised and the amount back in your account after 7 days.

The multiplier draw is what your money goes into.
So you deposit €100 you go in a draw and get a multiplier. That's anything from 0 to 100 times your deposit.
If you deposit, say, €250 then you can get anything from 0 to 250 times your deposit.
So, think big and bet the house, borrow from your friends, the sky's the limit.
What can go wrong?

The whole thing is supervised by the government department run by my uncle.

Sounds fantastic! Unfortunately I don't have any Euros, so will have to sit this one out.

Say hi to your Uncle, I understand he's actually a lovely guy, and it's just the fake news that paints the picture we all see.

Oh, Euros. My cousin has a very responsible and discrete exchange.
I tell and he'll give you social treatment.
Just tell him I said you want the "mate's rate" deal. That uncle Rekcus said to look after you.
