I worked for a specialist glass manufacturer for 35 years before I retired. We made all sorts of glass from optical, fire resistant, anti reflective, fibre optic, etc. Some even went in the Hubble. We were having some office renovation work done and the construction guys put the framework up which was going to hold a lot of anti reflective glass. We had to wait quite a while for our factory to send it over from Germany so we were all stepping through the framework to get around the office in the meantime. Finally it arrived and they put the glass in (you can see where we're going with this!). The glass did exactly what it said on the tin. Next to no reflection. On day one the woman that worked in the post room walked straight into it with a clatter. She was shocked but not hurt. We all had a bit of a laugh and she said she'd learned her lesson. I can't remember how many times she walked into it that day but we had to get a firm in to etch patterns on the glass at eye level so everyone could see it. Thankfully it was too thick to break otherwise we'd have been waiting weeks again to get a replacement.

Yes, I was working in a house and bringing in sheets of timber through the patio doors, on the last sheet my boss shouted from the bedroom window and said leave that one outside, so I did, unknowing to me the owner had closed the doors, I walked straight into it and bashed my head

I used to work with a guy who'd been through a car windscreen, occasionally when he was shaving he'd feel a chink, and out would come another fragment of glass.
a huge scar on her leg
There was a lad in my class at school with a huge scar on the back of his thigh. Not glass though, it was a splinter of wood sticking out of the track on a helter-skelter.

I don't recall ever walking into a glass door, but I did once walk into a lamppost. Ended up with a nice egg on my forehead for a while, to add to the quantity of egg on my face...

At an open mic at a local rehearsal studio. This was held in the largest room- I'd often been to the studio but we'd always booked small rooms. Never set foot in the large room before. The bar was in reception, right outside the large room. A singer songwriter started their set and apologised in advance if anything went wrong because they were about to do a new song. This tends to put me off a little (never apologise if things actually go wrong, certainly not before). It was very quiet in there, everyone listening respectfully to this gentle song with acoustic guitar. I listened for a minute but I wasn't interested-- apology accepted. I'll leave and get a beer I thought. Got half way to reception and walked right into a glass wall I had no idea was there. It made more noise than you might expect. I looked around to see every face turned in my direction. I found the door and went to get my beer.

I walked into a lamppost once when I was pissed. I had been out with workmates, and one of them was concerned enough about my state of inebriation to try and walk me to the train station. Even with his help, I still managed to walk into it!

I was exiting the Conservative Club with my 4-year-old Godson (wife had been there for a slimming World weigh-in).
There were double glass doors.
I walked out through the door that was open, while Godson............... boink!
'It's OK Tom,' I said to him, 'that's supposed to happen, you'll be fine.'

Bright day on holiday, been in and out of a sliding door, then my partner shut it as she was in a draft. I rushed round the corner for some reason, realised at the last moment, pulled my head back and as a result hit the door chin first.
Horrible pain, must have been close to breaking my jaw. Very wary since.

Yep, quit recently too. Walked into a plexiglass sheet which had been recently installed at a Metro station. As a regular user of the station I (like others) had used that bit of walkway to avoid the crush of commuters as people tried to get out of the station.

It must have been installed in the 3 days since I'd last been there, and I suspect I won't have been the only one.

It's since had the eye-line stickers added to prevent this happening.

Did it once, Benidorm hotel, walked out to the balcony...boom, straight on the floor.
My wife couldn't stop laughing, she went to reception to see if they had any ice packs or similar, as she struggled to tell them without laughing...they struggled not to laugh apparently.

Ice pack and I suspect narrowly avoided black eyes.

Maybe a day later my wife guffawed out loud. What's up I asked ?
I'd left a nose shaped imprint in the glass
