Then just use baps instead.
You can have butter and honey with your brioche too.
Or make it into a filthy bread and butter pud.
I quite like the naughty choc ones as a treat
I get told off for calling such individual bread servings "Buns", I tend to use "Baps" for the bigger buns (or rolls as my incorrect OH would call them) but this thread is going well off track now.
Croissants also make brilliant bread & butter pud. Going a tiny bit further off-topic, Nigella's caramel croissant pudding is truly a thing of wonder.
Now I do enjoy them.
But is Brioche not too sweet for that?
