Anybody know the Park Royal Hotel is Stretton near Warrington

I lived in this hotel for 6 months years ago while working in Warrington.

Was thinking of taking Mrs G for a weekend somewhere nice and liked this area as it's near Manchester and a lovely little town Knutsford plus other nice villages.

She's never been to that part of the country.

Was just wondering if this hotel was still decent as it was 10 years ago and would quite like to base us there?

It's at the end of the road from me, 1 1/2m away.

As a result, I haven't stayed in it, so I couldn't tell you about the rooms.

But Mrs wrx is a member of the gym and she likes it (decent size swimming pool you can swim in not an oversized jacuzi, decent recently modernised weights/machines area, etc)

And we went for a meal a couple of years ago, which I thought was OK - bit pricey for what you got, but hotel restaurants are.

No nasty reputations locally re public health inspectors or anything.

It renamed itself as the Hanover International since you knew it, then reverted back to The Park Royal 3 or 4 years ago.

Wife and kids stayed there recently, they really liked it and thought it was good.

Still nice. Been there a few times with work in my last 2 jobs (worked in Appleton Thorn and Northwich)
