I've got the CNC one too and I'm happy enough with the performance and I weigh 85kg. Agree with Dodgy's reservations re the grub screws, they do look very delicate. The recommended way of removing wheels by Ian Cammish at Planet X is not to try and use the QR type release but simply to set them up with enough clearance from the rim /tyre anyway. This is how mine are set up and I have 23mm rims too and the braking is still fine. If anything you get better modulation that way.

Edit: meant to say the new SRAM Red are a similar design, in effect single pivot

I had the Token Accura mega bucks version that the PX ones have copied, and TBH I far preferred my DA calipers and went back to them after just a couple of rides.

The Token ones had noticeably more flex and they were a pig to get set up correctly.

Hmmm... that review is interesting, notice how the commentators have flamed the reviewer for not mentioning the cheaper alternatives? Still, I guess if somebody has bunged you a set of brakes for free in exchange for a review you're hardly going to mention the alternatives, are you?

I've got the gold CNC ones. They're absolutely fine when set up properly. You need to be careful to centre them correctly. I've found that tightening up the rear bolt against the front bolt (allen key in each) works best. Micro adjustments can be made by tweaking just the front bolt. There's also a grub screw for centring adjustments, but I prefer my method. The main fixing bolts are easy to round so don't over tighten them. The quick release mechanism is absolutely fine, but the grub screw cable pinch attachment is the weakest part of the design IMO.

Fitted them last night, they weren't difficult to fit, just a little time-consuming though I suppose that an inexperienced bike fettler might find them tricky. Took the bike for a quick blast up the road and they feel as good as the Ultegras they've replaced. Nice and dinky though and a bit "trick". Opening them for wheel removal is no harder than unhitching the noodle on a V brake and is made easier if you set the pads quite wide, in which case you can just about squeeze a 23 mm tyre through them anyway.
