They look a bit to sporty to comply with my image:sad:.

Crocs for me. Fast to get on/off, comfortable, cheap, long lasting and waterproof. And they look just as bad fashion wise with or without socks (and of any colour.)

And yes, I don't care, though I don't have a beard.

I have a black slip-on pair and a grey strapped pair that I wear for work, both of the Flex line, and the memory foam makes a difference when you are up and down stairs all day! For commuting in snow I have a pair of their weatherproof Adventure boots that are nice and still look good for work and have the memory foam. For outdoor excursions I have a pair of boots that I have had for years and the color (green) is starting to come off but they are still sturdy. Also I have a comfy set of trainers that I have had for years but the upper fabric is starting to go beyond its time so I will have to replace them at some point, but they are practically form-fitting by now and sooooo comfortable. I have one foot that is a bit wider from being broken in three places when I was a kid and I like that all of the Skechers I have tried are not too snug on it and fit consistently.

Having had a couple of pairs from the Loakes Indian factory they are suitably uncomfortable and stylish to be considered "proper shoes"

I don't believe that 'proper' shoes have to be uncomfortable; if they actually fit properly, and I mean, actually fit, not just 'I take a size 10 guv', then they should be comfortable. I've got a couple of pairs of Loakes, Barker, C&J and Meermin (Carmina's cheaper brand) and all are comfortable, especially having been worn a few times!

I haven't got any Skechers, but I have got a pair of poor-mans Tesco lookalikies, and I have worn them a hell of a lot over the last year. So much so, that the soles are just about worn through, and I have just bought a new pair to replace them. For (I think) £12 a pair, they are great!

Well I got myself a pair a few months back, nice lightweight and comfortable like others have said.

Only downside is they are maybe half a size too big as I tried them on whilst wearing a thick pair of socks
