How do you find it?

I`ve just done 2 20 mile walks in the last 4 days and am totally shot, I feel like I`ve done a week`s worth of centuries on the bike!!

I`m happy with my ability, just wondering what others are capable of...........

I do shorter walks , maybe 10 m in total , there are benefits , back in 1980 I lost my weight and never got it back , walking was the key , but I do like walking ,

Yes, but mainly in the summer and autumn. 20 miles would be too far for me though. 20km is about as far as I walk.

I used to walk a lot, but after taking up cycling, I really don't like it any more. The back of my leg muscles seem to have got more taut due to riding, and walking is faintly uncomfortable because the muscles feel overstretched. Do other people feel the same?

Never had any problems with walking after cycling, or verce visa.

I worked out I walk over 1000 miles a year walking the dog. Which is why I buy cheap boots, as they only last a year of pooch walking.

Ive walked up Ben Nevis once, and I have walked up Snowdon a few times. Other than that the only walking I do is too and from my local offy/pub. Aside from that walking is mostly a way to get to and from the fridge, its not really a practical way of getting around outside your house. You should use a bike for that.

Did Offa's Dyke over four four-day sessions - some days were about 18 miles, with hills.
Tiring, but great sense of achievement. Most walks are nearer 10 miles, though.

I used to walk up to 10-12 miles and enjoy it. I am down to 6-8 now but usually link it in with bird watching.
I play golf every week............that 6000 metres each time.

I regularly do 15-20 mile walks. Did 5 days worth of long walks a couple of weeks ago walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way. I am feeling it more these days and it takes a bit longer to recover. Thank goodness for the bike when I've got sore feet.
