Pour some inside the frame of your bike, and when you want a drink, stop, take seat off and tip bike upside down with mouth around seat insert.

No, I wasn't being serious.

I've only left home once without water, thinking I'd buy some on the way... but i didn't pass any shops and halfway up Littledale (a rather steep and long climb).. I had no option but to turn back.

normally I have 500ml on the frame, plus two more 500mls of frozen water, aka ice in the bag... by the time I've gone throught the 1st 500 ml, the frozen ones have half defrosted and there's nothing like ice cold water on a scorching day

Anyone attempting Mont Danbury, col des Generals (Essex); on the left of Danbury Village green is a builder's yard called Baker's. Outside tap and a toilet. I needed both the other day
