I reckon we've had rain here almost everyday for 3 weeks. Some days it has just been a light shower but its still rain. Always seems to be a wind as well

Started about 7:30 pm... still going

I fell off about 8pm ... (first time in along time)

Terribly bad for my hypochondria and scratched my sti's, but luckily abundance of clothing due to weather stopped too many nasty scrapes, shoulder blooming hurts, ibuprofen and alcohol taken as precaution.

The sun's just come out. No wonder we pay higher council taxes to live down here in the sunny south.;)

Gah, me too. I'd been visted by the p*ncture fairy a few times over the past few weeks on my commuter and have been meaning to buy some new tires as the current ones are nice kevlar jobbies but are a wearing a bit thin. When I was fixing the last puncture I noticed a slightly worn rear Rubino tyre hanging in the garage. It had a lot more tread on it than my current rear tire and a lot thicker rubber so I swapped it over. I couldn't work out why it would be sitting there all by itself.

Cut too tonight, scooting back from a very soggy rowing practice in the rain, take a right turn in a park a bit too fast and boom. Rear wheel slides out and I'm down like a sack of spuds. Nice guy on a fixie stops to see if I'm alright. I apologise for swearing really loudly. Right knee is messy and bleeding fairly well and I've got some good bruises to come but nothing too bad. First off in two years and that was a car door SMIDSY special.

Weird thing was, as soon as I hit the ground I remembered why I took the bloody Rubinos off in the first place - they were really sketchy in the wet. DOH! ;) :o)

The dj guy on Radio 2 this afternoon was becoming a bit of a pain with his constant girning due to a shower down south somewhere. Don't know what he had to complain about, or maybe the roof leaks at the BBC.
Anyway it has been a lovely day here from dawn 'til dusk.;):biggrin::smile:

I'll remember that when I'm out in the rain on my rubino slicks...!
