You may know that I am very keen on trains and timetables and railway items etc. Anyway, bear with me. Yesterday evening there was a programme on about Railways and their portrayal in films etc.
One clip was from Monty Python and was a skit on Sherlock Holmes trying to solve a murder. The suspect was saying "It was not me, and I can prove it because here is my ticket showing I travelled on the 11.32 from Euston and I was consuming coffee in the Buffet".
Some one else replies, that the 11.32 only has a standing buffet, to which someone else says
Yes, but that train does not run on Saturdays.
It does if there is a football match at Blankety
etc etc, does not sound funny the way I write it, but does anyone know the name of the sketch that it is from?
I have tried googling trains, buffet etc on Youtube, without success.
Yes, I know, I need to get out more.
