Any ideas what caused this burn?

Its on my thigh and you are pretty much correct, its actually from the transformer on the lead to the laptop. Because my arthritis in my knee was very painfull last night I chose to lay on the settee last night rather than sit. Unfortunately the transformer was sat on the settee and I rested on it I knew it was rather warm but didn't consider it hot enough to burn, Unfortunately because of the pain of the arthritis I failed to really notice the pain in my thigh it wasn't till I stood up half an hour later that I relised something was wrong
