I know of Tredz in Swansea and Cardiff, although the Cardiff store is a smaller store than the Swansea store.
There's a bike shop in the main drag in Abergavenny, isn't there? I haven't used it a lot, but they were very good to us when we needed some emergency repairs when up ther mtbing a few years back - they opened for us outside their usual hours.

There's one either side of the road, I've been in the one on the left as you head in a Brecon direction. Nice folk and know their stuff too. There's quite a good one in Brecon too, near the bridge.

I’ve been in search of a good LBS since Tongwynlais Cycle Care closed last year. So far I’ve tried several and for Swansea, Tredz has seemed knowledgeable and fair and did a good job of servicing my beloved Galaxy. The Bike Shed off Cathedral road in Cardiff were also helpful and friendly but if you want to lust after shiny new road bikes and have a free coffee then do visit Forza Cycles in Llantwit Major or Urban Cyclery off Castle square in Swansea city centre, but leave your credit card at home...
tredz in Cardiff done nothing to help really, they wanted to charge for fitting when every other shop/store Ive contacted have all said they fit for free if you're buying the bike off of them and they didn't seem to care if i bought a bike or not, just the vibe ya know....have had responses off of bicycle doctor so pretty please with their comms

I never knew they were there, I must go around with my eyes closed, next time I'm working near there I will go and 'look'.
hey angel, I'm off to test ride a cube agree pro on Saturday at bicycle doctors, seem very nice on the phone but of course they want my business,lol me being skeptical . but the guy did state that they look after their customers post purchase so thats good enough for me, so will see on Saturday after the test ride and will let you know, thanks for putting their name onto me again

hey angel going tomorrow buddy, gotta pick up my saris bones 3 bike up from go outdoors tomoz too, then up to the test ride and then onto the practice run from ponty to Cardiff for my future work ride, out of curiosity on the taff trail, i have worked out i need to keep to route 8, is this clearly sign posted, even when the trail goes on the road??
